-God called Moses to come to Him
-Moses as obedient and sought after the Lord
-He was on the mountain for 40 days and 40 nights!
Exodus 34:28
-Moses remained there on the mountain with the Lord forty days and forty nights. In all that time he ate no bread and drank no water. And the Lord wrote the terms of the covenant – the Ten Commandments – on the stone tablets.

-Fastening, Prayer, Reading of Scripture, Time of Solitude with the Lord

-Brings our focus back on the sustainer
-Allows space to fill ourselves more with God
-Form of preparation

-Brings us into communication with God
-The Holy Spirit is working in us through our prayer lives
-Central discipline that allows for the transformation of our hearts to guide us to God’s will.

Reading of Scripture
-Unhurried and openness to what the Spirit is trying so share with you
-Transforming power
Hebrews 4:12, 2 Peter 1:20-21
Time of solitude with the Lord
-Sacred stop; step away form hurry
-Listen for God’s voice and then obey His word
-Fellowship with God and an invitation for His Spirit to work
-Restoration of the soul

-Make it a priority
