What to Expect

What to Expect

Pastor’s Welcome  |  What We Believe  |   What to Expect  |  Where We Meet

We know it can be intimidating to visit a church for the first time, so here are some questions that we anticipate you might have before joining us:

When should I visit?

Join us during a Sunday service time that is most convenient for you and your family.

Church Services @ 8:15 & 10:45 AM
* Children’s Church & Nursery are only provided during the 10:45 AM Service.

Sunday School @ 9:30 AM
*Adult Sunday School, Youth Sunday School, Children’s Sunday School, and Nursery are during this hour.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING THE CHURCH SERVICE?

Our services include singing, announcements, offering, prayer time, and sermon.  We have varying styles of worship; from contemporary to traditional, we sing hymns and choruses with various instrumentation, often including guitars, keyboard, and drums.

WHAT IS PROVIDED FOR MY CHILDREN DURING CHURCH HOURS?

Sunday School @ 9:30 AM is provided for children starting from age 1 to those who are in 6th grade.

Children’s Ministries @ 10:45 AM are provided for the following age groups during the church service…

  • Nursery – ages 1 & 2
  • Children’s Church 3 yrs. – Kindergarten
  • Children’s Church – 1st grade – 3rd grade

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

We do not have a dress code here at Mercersburg Mennonite. Some people prefer to wear casual attire, while others prefer to wear formal attire.
As a church, we are more interested
that you join us than what you’re wearing when you do.

How should I prepare myself?

If you already have a Bible, feel free to bring it. If you don’t, not a problem! We provide Bibles to be used during the church service that are located at your seat in the sanctuary.

What if I can’t make it on a Sunday morning?

We would love for you to join us in person when you have the opportunity but if you can’t make a Sunday morning, please feel free to join via our livestream! You can also view or listen to previous sermons you would like to catch up on.
