We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in the slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased.

Satifaction is found in Jesus Himself

A satisfied soul clings to Jesus

        your strong right hand holds me securely.”
• When life falls apart, where do I run first?
• When I succeed, who receives the glory?
• When I feel empty, what do I use to distract myself?
• When God feels distant, do I seek His face or simply continue my routine?
• Do I want Jesus – or merely the life I hope Jesus will give me?

Life & Faith
The greatest tragedy would be to spend our lives among the things of Jesus – hearing sermons,, studying the Scriptures, and Serving his name – yes miss Jesus Himself: the true Treasure and the deep satisfaction for which our souls have always longed.
