-Test 1- A calling to satisfy the desires of the flesh even if outside of the Father’s timing
-Test 2- A calling for Jesus to prove Himself and to show His favor with the Father
-Test 3- A promise for dominion of the Kingdom’s of the earth

To overcome our devotion to God through selfish ambition

Rise and Fall of king Solomon
1 Kings 3:1-15
-Solomon loved the Lord and followed the decrees of David
-Solomon was quick to offer up sacrifices to the Lord
-Solomon’s desire was to lead God’s people well

-Solomon gave praise to God

Deuteronomy 17:16-17

Solomon built up a huge force of chariots and horses. He had 1,400 charities and 12,000 horses. He stationed some of them in the chariot cities and some near him in Jerusalem.

1 King 3:1
-Solomon made an alliance with Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and married one of his daughters. He brought her to live in the City of David until he could finish building his palace and the Temple of the Lord and the wall around the city.

Solomon’s horses were imported from Egypt and from Cilicia; the king’s traders acquired them from Cilicia at the standard price.
